St Dominic's again achieves Autism Accreditation
21st April 2015
In January of this year St Dominic’s School once again readied itself for visitors from Autism Accreditation.
Autism Accreditation is an internationally recognised standard given by the National Autistic Society. It is awarded to settings which show a high level of expertise and consistent good practice when working with individuals on the autism spectrum.
The school worked hard to prepare for the review so that the accreditation team would be able to see that not only has the school maintained its previous high standards of practice but also that it continues to innovate in order to help pupils and students ‘achieve ambitious goals and live life to the full’ – which is the ethos of the whole school.
St Dominic’s is delighted to announce that once again the school has achieved this highly regarded accreditation which will give confidence to our pupils and students, parents, local authorities and other stakeholders that St Dominic’s continues to meet the high standards set by external agencies for those supporting individuals on the autism spectrum to ensure they achieve the best possible outcomes in preparation for the world of work and life beyond St Dominic’s
