Uniform

Uniform

All pupils wear white polo shirts with black trousers (girls can wear skirts or red check dresses in the summer) and a St Dominic’s sweatshirt.  There is no school tie.  Girls can wear a red check dress in the summer months.  Shoes should be black, with dark grey or white socks (girls can wear black tights).  Trainers should only be worn for PE.  A warm and waterproof coat, preferably plain dark blue or black, is required.  The optional school jacket is fleece lined, waterproof and reversible.

Pupils in Years 10 and 11 may wear a red polo shirt, black sweatshirt and black trainers.   Items bearing the St Dominic’s logo are only available through the school.  Other items can be purchased through the school but are likely to be cheaper from usual retail outlets.

ALL pupils may wear their own clothes:

  • every Friday
  • when at College (Years 10 and 11 only)
  • as a result of winning an appropriate award through the Points Incentive Scheme.

All articles of clothing, shoes, and personal items such as pencil cases, need to be marked with name tapes as appropriate.  We regret that the School cannot take responsibility for unmarked articles.   The wearing of jewellery is discouraged.

For PE / Games:

Sports socks                                 Trainers

Swimming trunks / costume      Football boots & shin pads

Navy tracksuit                                PE shirt and shorts

Day pupils should bring in the correct kit in a PE bag on the days that they have PE or Games, according to their timetable.  Children are allowed to wear plain navy blue or black track suits (or jogging bottoms and sweatshirts)  for their PE lessons. Any metallic items or anything that could cause injury to the wearer or others must be removed prior to the lesson starting. All items of value are locked in the PE office and returned at the end of the lesson.

We hope that students wear the uniform with pride.  Thank you for your co-operation.
