Science
At Key Stage 2, Science is taught by the Form Tutor. The course is class-based, and students have full access to scientific apparatus. They are encouraged to develop the skills needed for investigative work.
When students progress to Key Stage 3, they are taught in a fully-equipped laboratory by specialist Science teachers with the support of a Special Schools Assistant. Group sizes are small and this allows students to participate fully in all aspects of practical work with individual help if necessary. This arrangement continues into Years 10 and 11 where students work toward examinations. These include Entry Level and GCSE Science.
