Pastoral Care

ECM

There is a very strong pastoral care system in the school. All pupils and students are supported by their Form Tutors, and if extra support is needed, there are trained counsellors on site.  Parents and staff are able to have weekly communication through home/school books. Much of the work of the pastoral care team involves close liaison with parents.

If required, advice can be given to families on how pupils and students can be given the most appropriate support in their home and working environment, to best maintain their emotional welfare and social development.

Counsellors Sister Marie Therese Greensmyth and Mrs Helen Sutton can both be contacted by email on This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

St Dominic’s actively promotes the safeguarding and welfare of its pupils and Sixth Form students.  All staff have enhanced CRB checks and receive safeguarding training. The schools safeguarding policies are regularly updated and monitored by a team of Child Protection Liaison Officers who are: Anna Rhodes, Becky Deans and Debbie Louw.
