Overview

All pupils attending St Dominic’s follow a broad and balanced curriculum, with work differentiated to suit each pupil's individual needs. Class sizes are small (usually 8 pupils or less) and each class has its own teacher as well as an SSA (Special School Assistant), to enable students to access support quickly. The therapy team also attend a range of lessons to ensure that the pupils they are supporting are able to gain access to the curriculum in an appropriate way.  All staff are familiar with putting in place a variety of additional support measures, and have training and experience working with young people who have the range of needs within the remit of the school.
